About Made to Sew

Professional sewing education since 2013.
Made to Sew was created to bring sewing into the now, showing how easy it can be to create fashionable, expertly finished pieces if the right knowledge is applied.

Combining home sewing with chic runway design, Made to Sew teaches professional sewing classes and techniques, improving your sewing skill set to create a polished looking garment.

Founder Aneka Truman, a London College of Fashion graduate, launched Made to Sew in 2013. With a wealth of global fashion brand experience, Aneka has endless knowledge allowing her to thoroughly explain and inform her students, inspiring you all to learn a new skill, professionally. She has experience as a Brand Ambassador for Bernina, contributing to sewing magazines and over 500,000 subscribers on the Made to Sew YouTube channel.

Whether you are a beginner just dipping your toes into the delights of dressmaking, or wanting to expand your knowledge and creativity, Made to Sew will have a class suited to you. From beginners sewing to advanced dressmaking and tailoring, Aneka offers small classes enabling personal tuition.

Online sewing courses are available to watch from the comfort of your own home, so if you can’t make in person classes you can take your sewing to the next level, wherever you are in the world.

For a personal touch join Aneka for a private or group sewing lesson, available across the UK, Australia and USA. In the meantime, head-over to the YouTube channel, where Aneka shares her profound knowledge via free tutorials.

The Made to Sew dressmaking pattern range designed by Aneka, is a collection of fashion focused patterns; that help you create garments that are not only the perfect fit but are professionally finished.

Made to Sew will inspire you to be creative, learn professionally, and create garments that are the perfect fit for you.
