Make Cresswell, a classic, oversized coat with tailored details; a notched collar and raglan sleeves with darts at the shoulder and elbow, designed to create a clean, structured shape through the relaxed silhouette.

The pattern features generous patch pockets, a self-fabric belt with belt loops, a kick pleat at the centre back and a very slight A-line shape. The generous fit allows Cresswell to be worn comfortably over winter knitwear and jackets, making it a timeless outer layer.

Cresswell has been specifically designed for splittable double-faced or double-cloth fabrics. Rather than using a traditional lining, the layers of the fabric are carefully separated and finished by hand, creating beautifully clean seams and a professional finish on both the inside and outside of the coat.

This specialist construction is what makes Cresswell such a rewarding project: as well as creating the finished coat, you will learn professional techniques for working with double-faced cloth that can be applied to future garments.
