Vilene Bias Tape is a lightweight, iron-on interfacing tape cut on the bias, allowing it to follow curved and diagonal edges while providing additional stability.
Ideal for reinforcing areas such as necklines, armholes and curved seams, where you want to prevent stretching or distortion without adding unnecessary bulk.
Composition: 100% Polyamide
Width: 12mm (½”)
Colours: Black and White
Care: Machine wash at 40°C / Dry Clean
Suggested Use
Use to stabilise curved, shaped or bias-cut areas of a garment, particularly necklines, armholes and other edges prone to stretching.
Because the tape is cut on the bias, it can follow curves more easily than straight-cut interfacing tape while still providing reinforcement.
Application
Position the rough side of the tape against the wrong side of the fabric. Watch this video for a step-by-step tutorial.
Press firmly using dry heat for 8 seconds to bond the tape to the fabric.
Always test on a scrap of your fabric first to check adhesion, temperature and the finished handle before applying it to your garment.
